France - Recycling Heat to Reduce Energy Consumption

The diatomite-producing factory in Murat, France has developed an ingenious way to recycle heat in order to heat up the site’s changing rooms.

Heat from released during the production process is used to warm up the water in the heating circuit. Fuel was previously used to heat up this water. In this way, the water is no longer heated using a fuel-burning boiler.

This sustainable development initiative yields a fuel consumption reduction of approximately 5000 liters, as well as reductions in CO2 emissions. The site could extend this system to heat the offices.

Depuis 2005, notre périmètre de reporting Développement Durable englobe toutes les activités sur lesquelles nous exerçons un contrôle opérationnel.
