Reporting of Safety Indicators
DefinitionsFor the purposes of reporting injury data, Imerys has used the following definitions:
Working Hours – All hours including overtime, for which all Imerys Employees (on Group Company Payroll) are paid, excluding Vacations/Holidays, Personal Days and National Holidays. Imerys employees count as 40 hours per week, as an average.
Lost Time Accidents – A work-related injury or illness involving an "Imerys Employee" or an "Other Employee" where the injured worker cannot work his or her next scheduled shift.
Lost Days – A day on which an "Imerys Employee" or an "Other Employee" is scheduled to work but cannot do so due to a work related accident. Only the days in which an employee is scheduled to work count as lost days.
Imerys Employees – The term "Imerys Employees" refers to those persons included on the Imerys payroll.
Other Employees – The term "Other Employees" refers non-Imerys employees such contractors, agency workers and vendors who may be retained by the company to perform work or provide services.
PERIMETER
For the purposes of reporting injury data, Imerys has reported on all assets operated by Imerys Employees and all activities of Imerys Employees conducted in the course of their employment by Imerys. The term "Imerys Operations" includes joint ventures, partnerships and other similar business arrangements in which Imerys owns a controlling interest. Newly acquired operations have been included as of the date of acquisition. Divested or discontinued operations have been excluded from reporting as of the date the operations were discontinued
