The recruitment process
At Imerys, every recruitment is viewed from a long-term perspective. That is why we give particular importance to our recruitment process, whatever the level of the position being offered. This process has three stages and involves HR and operational staff to ensure greater objectivity.
There may be some differences in the way the process is followed, depending on the country and subsidiary.
Stage 1: pre-selection (after a CV has been submitted to our website, a letter has been received or a CV submitted via a forum)
If your application matches the profile we are looking for, you will be contacted by the HR correspondent of the entity in which you have applied for the position.
At this stage, if you have not been contacted within four weeks, please assume that your application has not been successful.
Stage 2: HR interview
In the days following this initial contact, you will be invited by HR for an interview to discuss your motivation, your profile and its suitability to the position and the Group's culture. The purpose of this interview is to get to know one another, as well as to offer you a possible insight into the Group, its businesses, its structure, as well as possible career paths within Imerys based on your profile. This interview may be preceded by a pre-interview by telephone, particularly if you need to travel a long distance.
If your application is not successful at this stage, you will be informed by telephone.
Stage 3: operational interview(s)
After the HR interview, you will meet the core business/line managers of the position offered (one or two interviews). They will assess your technical ability to hold the position and to integrate into the team. They will also provide you with information about the content of the position and the working environment. Following these meetings (which may take the form of video-conferences, depending on participants' locations), HR and managers will come to a joint decision on whether or not to ask you to join us.
If you are not selected for the position, you will be contacted by telephone to offer feedback on your interviews.
The above recruitment process also applies to unsolicited applications.
