Laurence Lamy

An exciting and challenging opportunity,
one I am sure I would not have been given anywhere else

Laurence L.,
Marketing Analyst,
Oilfield Minerals department

I joined Imerys in 2008 as an intern in my last year of university. I graduated from HEC(1) in Paris, majoring in Marketing. I wanted to work in an industrial company that would give me practical experience in B2B.

I did my internship with the marketing team in the Minerals for Ceramics Division. Over three months, I had the opportunity to contribute to marketing analysis in project mode and with full autonomy. I worked on the division pricing strategy, for example. I was also part of more operational topics like the budget process, in close collaboration with the sales team.

After my internship, I was offered the role of Marketing Analyst for a new Business Unit that had just been created, Oilfield Minerals. This business came from a 100% Imerys innovation and everything needs to be done to develop it.

As a recent graduate, this is an exciting and challenging opportunity – one I am sure I would not have been given anywhere else.

(1) HEC (Hautes Etudes Commerciales) is a French business school.
