The Position

Continuous Improvement Manager (Inventory and S&OP)

Job Summary

Role

- Drive process improvement for Operational planning (1 week to 2 months) & Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) (2 to 18 months) and long range Planning (1,5 to 5 years)

- Monitor  and reports inventory levels, key interface with the Finance & Operations

Responsibilities

- Acts as Project leader to improve Operational planning, S&OP process & Long range Planning

  • Optimize the process for all time horizons (stakeholders, routines, data collection, reports, meetings contents and deliverables)

  • Drive process change using staff interviews, document analysis, workshops, surveys, site visits, workflow analysis

  • Leads the pilots for all these processes

  • After pilot phase, organise general roll-out across the business area Performance Minerals EMEA (PM EMEA)
     

- In charge of the training of the stakeholders

  • Improve Otif and customer satisfaction by having efficient processes

  • In charge of inventory management improvement

  • Optimize inventory levels (recommendations) in order to avoid supply issues/increased working capital; be proactive and make sure we do have appropriate safety/strategic stock in the central warehouses/sites. 

  • Represent the business area PM EMEA (Business) Planning team within Key Projects related to inventory related topics, e.g: inventory year end target with finance,...

  • Help prepare yearly  budgets linked to  inventory topics (from a volume standpoint) 

-Act as a continuous improvement leader for S&OP team

  • Responsible for the change management linked to process development

  • Lead and facilitate process improvements based workshops to drive ideas and solutions

  • Represent the Global (Business) planning team within Key Projects related to S&OP & inventory management


Accountability

- Ensure compliance of Inventory Governance with company policies & best practices

- Balance Customers satisfaction and Inventory level / Working Capital management (yearly horizon of time)

- Ensure that the  right inventory management skills exists in all sites. 

- Make sure S&OP, Operational Planning and Long range planning processes are robust and well integrated with other business  processes

- Create and follow-up KPI’s to continuously improve customer satisfaction & inventory management

Key competencies 

- Good understanding of the overall supply chain & knowledge of S&OP process

- Analytical mindset, KPI and Result Driven

- Inventory management knowledge with a good awareness about customer satisfaction & finance impact

- Excel/Google sheet strong knowledge

- Ability to learn fast within a complex environment

- Project management skills

- Ability to influence others at all level of the organization

- Stress resistant, be able to prioritize (organization, time management)

- Excellent communicator 

- Problem solving abilities

- Ability to lead organizational change

- Capable of challenging ideas and providing feedback in a constructive way

- Strong Team Player

Ideal background/ experience

- Master in Supply chain or Engineering degree with specialization in Supply Chain

- Minimum 3 years minimum of experience in Supply Chain with past proven experience in S&OP or project management  activities linked with Operations / Supply Chain

- Fluent in English, French is a plus
