The PositionSpecialist - IT III
Responsible for providing leadership and 3rd level support for hardware, software, network, and telecom issues for end-users and team members. Act as local contact for other groups within IT. Ensure standards and quality control are met.
- Supports Imerys technology users across North America.
Local Support area is a campus of mine and production sites approximately 30 miles in diameter located in and around Sandersville, GA.

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Resolve end-user hardware, software, network, and telecom issues and requests in a quick, professional manner
Provide high quality IT support over the phone, internet as well as in person
Assist in the proactive monitoring and care of the network
Deliver basic troubleshooting and support for enterprise applications
Support implementation and adoption of new technology
Provide basic IT orientation and training to new technology users
Follow established IT standards, and assist in the establishment of new standards as needed
Call escalation from other team members
Verify that all work is completed at the highest level of quality before being released to the customer
Assist the Network and Server teams occasionally with installation and/or troubleshooting of their Hardware, running network cables, installing / replacing switches and configuring phone systems
Assist with projects as needed for other groups within IT
Maintain skills utilizing internal and external training as necessary
Maintain MSHA Safety Training & Certifications Annually (training provided)
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Education: Position requires an AA/AS degree in computer related field plus two years relevant experience in support and networking; or a BA/BS degree in computer science or related discipline; or the combination of certifications/education and experience that enables performance of all aspects of the position.
- Successful US-based candidates must be fully vaccinated for Covid-19 before the employment start date unless exempted by applicable law
Certificates, Licenses, or Registrations:
Related Work Experience: minimum four years relevant IT support experience in a dynamic enterprise environment; knowledge and understanding of cloud technology; familiarity with data security standards
