Plant/Site CHARACTERISTICS AND ACTIVITY:
Plant legal names: Wuhu Imerys-Jade Project
Located: Nanling, Wuhu, Anhui, China
Subordinates: around 0-2
Playing an active role in project execution process from purchasing and procurement, and prepare the commissioning/future operation & business(pre-market)
Be the key purchasing point of contact to the Jade project team & operation preparation team & pre-marketing team.
Take full accountability of the procurement of all purchasing contracts for Jade project, including EPC & black boxes contracts, and other local contracts arising from Jade.
Take full accountability of the new purchasing (sourcing) process/results of Jade project, such as masterbatch tolling (MB), project-related sub-projects.
Supervise the contract implementation from the key EPC company, including the big tendering process, qualified vendor list compliance, etc.
Support the China Regional Category Manager for Industrial Equipment & Services for purchasing activities in connection with the Jade project.
Ensure internal customer satisfaction with the performance of the purchasing team
Close collaboration with supply chain / project team/incumbent wuhu plant purchasing team.
Other tasks
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To implement Imerys purchasing policy and procedures for all transactions, and ensure the compliance with Imerys Policy and purchasing Policy.
To ensure correct application of all contracts and follow the actual performance.
Responsible for the procurement process (from contract/PO to payment) of all contracts, by working closely with related category managers (capex RCM Europe/China, PPM, Project team) and feedback/solutions for any arising problems.
To lead the purchasing process for any new needs arising from Jade, including Masterbatch tolling, change orders, mobile equipment (forklift, wheel loader), canteen/maintenance workshop upgrading, 2-years spare parts, professional service, lab equipment, furniture, etc.
Perform potential new supplier(vendors/construction companies) qualification (RFI & site audit), linked with the Qualified Vendor List
Supervise EPC supplier’s tendering process, on vendor selection, Vendor list compliance, contracting. Monitoring EPC suppliers’ procurement plan to meet the project plan
To provide marketing information to help define specifications of industrial product or service to purchase, and to open new potential sources
Investigate the Talc resource market and identify the potential suppliers, by working with RCM-Talc and project manager
Support pre-marketing business by leading the purchasing process on masterbatch tolling and other tasks.
Support Capex-RCM to work the tasks related to Jade (such as Mobile equipment, option lists)
To provide reliable reporting (spending, payment and/or savings) on a regular basis.
To attend the project meeting, by reporting the key purchasing progress, coordinating with other teams, etc.

Required Experience, Skills & Education
Minimum of 5 years of experience in plant purchasing
Bachelor’s degree required in Engineering (mechanical, electricals, civil-works, etc)
Proficient in MS Office software, Google suite, experience in ERP
Chinese mandatory, fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking, listening)
Project management skills: organized, time conscious, result oriented
Autonomous, creative, rigorous
Based in Nanling, Wuhu, Anhui
