The Position
Mining Engineer Internship - Mine PlanningJob Summary
Location: Roswell, GA or Home based
Education Requirements: Candidate must be enrolled in an accredited school or university and currently pursuing a degree in Mining Engineering or other related degree.
As a Mining Engineer Intern, you will organize, update and assist development of 5 year mine plans for select facilities in North America. Assist in long term data management of site plan work. Candidates may be asked to travel to assist with drone surveying. Perform safety inspection of berms and road conditions by analyzing photogrammetric data.
Project Description:
Organize, update and assist development of 5 year mine plans for select facilities in NA
Project Learning Objectives:
Experience working in a mine planning/geology team
Understanding the components of a long term plan
Experience with several useful mine planning and mapping software tools such as Surpac, AutoCAD, SiteScan (drone data management), CloudCompare, Google Earth, and others
