The Position

Agriculture Sales Manager DACH & Nordics - Filtration & Life Sciences EMEA

Job Summary

Driving Sales of a variety of mineral solutions to Agriculture Markets in DACH, Nordics, UK and Eastern Europe and Cat Litter Markets in DACH.

Key responsibilities :

  • Drive profitable sales growth based on understanding of customer needs, competitive situation and value proposition

  • Define and execute commercial strategy / action plan for each customer in collaboration with sales director as well as marketing and technical support functions (incl. proposal for budget, commercial conditions, new business opportunity ideas, action plan to increase profitability,…)

  • Negotiate price increase / share increase / commercial package depending on agreed strategy as well as associated terms & conditions

  • Visit customers regularly and prepare in CRM detailed sales visit / call reports as well as monthly reports analyzing performance vs. plan

  • Handle significant complaints in terms of customer relationship and monitor customer satisfaction

  • Ensure on-time cash collection

  • Actively collect and document in CRM marketing intelligence about customer including mineral consumptions, performance requirement, competitors’ products and their performance / price, opportunity pipeline, development projects as well as market trends (from a geographic or market standpoint)

  • Generate ideas of new products to feed the innovation pipeline

  • Prepare and achieve budget and forecasts for S&OP and finance purposes

Accountability :

  • P&L accountability: sales to gross margin and accounts receivables

  • Year-on-Year top line and profit growth depending on market conditions

  • Imerys’ long-term customer relationships

Competencies & experience :

Key competencies

  • Strong customer sense

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills

  • Good understanding of basic financial and legal concepts

  • Outgoing, result oriented, concern for impact, team player, good interpersonal skills

Ideal background/ experience

  • Master Degree in Agronomy or Agricultural Engineering

  • Marketing or Business Administration studies welcome

  • 8 to 10  more years of experience in B2B Sales, Account Management or Business Development.

  • Speak fluently English. French is welcome.
