The Position

Lab In-Charge

Job Summary

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Plans and directs the day to day operations of the lab to shift chemists

  • Maintain all records of lab.

  • Ensure on time Testing of all incoming RM, PM before unloading of material

  • Ensure all intermediate as well as finish good product quality as per specifications 

  • Ensure customer needs are met, complaints are resolved and service is quick and efficient.

  • Sound knowledge of mineral testing, practices and procedures 

  • Manage stock levels and make key decisions about stock control

  • Supervises the safe receipt and storage of material.

  • Responsible for planning and executing of all the activities in the laboratory.

  • Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system.

  • Analyze working of shift chemists and check their records

  • Attend customer complaints.

  • Train guide shift chemists

  • Constantly work to improve processes

  • Make suggestions for productivity improvements

  • Ensure that facility equipment is properly maintained.

  • Communicate and collaborate with other team members specially with production team

  • Train, guide and evaluate functional & cross-functional teams.

Job Specification:

Education and Experience requirements:

  • B.Sc. from Chemistry having 4 -7 years working experience.

  • Good knowledge of all mineral related testing methods.

  • Should be from Mineral processing background

  • Good working experience in MS-Office
