JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
Leads The Nordics Europe Hub made of 5 plants with the purpose of:
reaching the highest customer satisfaction: deliver products on time & within the quality standards
optimizing production cost & improving competitive position
ensuring a safe environment with 0 accidents target and improving safety culture
JOB SCOPE/DIMENSIONS
Part of the Business Area Performance Minerals EMEA which scope is: 80 sites in 24 countries - 3700 employees - €1.2b revenue.
Nordics Hub involves 5 sites : 2 in Denmark, 2 in Sweden, & 1 in FInland
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Be responsible for Environment, Health & Safety across the Hub and ensure safety best-in-class standards are achieved with compliance assured as per the regulations.
Manages the site or production managers of the 5 plants/mines.
Manages all aspects of operations across the Hub in close coordination with the BA CoE, including:
production,
planning
maintenance
warehousing
industrial projects / capex
process improvement
delivering quality expected
energy consumption optimization, and
continuous improvement initiatives (I-Cube Program)
Ensures products are manufactured and delivered on schedule, and within quality standards and cost objectives
Develops the Hub industrial plan in coordination with BA Industrial VP, BA Center of Excellence, BA Business Planning / Supply Chain VP and with the support of Imerys Center of Expertise.
Leads Hub operations optimization to address competitiveness / demand requirements, incl. capex execution (debottlenecking, extension), flexibility and reduction of lead-times, productivity / energy consumption, maintenance, cost reduction / continuous improvement (I-Cube) programs, in coordination with Imerys / BA Center of Excellence.
Responsible for mine balance & implementation of Life of mine plan developed with / by Imerys Geology experts
Participate in the Budget process, Forecast, S&OP.
Key interfaces: ensures tight coordination with BA Industrial VP, BA Business Planning / Supply Chain team, Imerys and BA CoE & Purchasing teams, BA Segments, and is supported by Finance & HR Business Partners

JOB SPECIFICATIONS
- Education, Experience & Competency requirements
Engineer degree.
MSc in either industrial, mechanical, process or mining engineering
>15 years experience in Operations Management and Operational Excellence program management
Masters all operations aspects (Safety, Production, Quality, Process, Capex…) thanks to a solid hands-on experience (~10 years) within a multi site industrial environment.
Demonstrated capabilities of reaching cost reduction and productivity by promoting a continuous improvement mindset
Recognised managerial, leadership and communication skills allowing with ability to manage teams across several sites
Ability to attract and develop professional teams
Multitasking skills
Crisis management
Decision-making and problem-solving skills
Customer oriented mindset
Fluent German and English
