The Position

Media Relations and Crisis Communication Senior Manager

Job Summary

Role overview

Reporting directly to the Group Communication VP, the Media Relations Senior Manager will be part of a dynamic and international environment. 

The Media Relations and Crisis Communication Senior Manager is responsible for Imerys Image and Reputation. 


Media Relations : 

  • Contribute to plan, develop and implement Media Relations Group strategy

  • Manage daily enquiries from media

  • Write press releases and all content related to Media Relations 

  • Coordinate Media Relations agency 

  • Support Business Area Communication Directors (5) in Media Relations operations 

  • Organize national and international media events : press conferences, open days and press tours and trips

  • Monitor and analyze media coverage

  • Collaborate with Investors Relations Team on Group Financial results 

Crisis Communication Management :

  • Manage development of crisis response strategies, reactive statements, FAQs and other deliverables as needed.

  • Provide counsel on strategy, collaborating with all internal stakeholders

  • Develop and implement response communications processes and procedures.

  • Execute proactive and reactive media relations strategies as needed.

  • Provide reports and analysis on key issues.


  • Collaborate with Content Management Team to manage Twitter Imerys France 



  • Bachelor/Master degree in Communication, Journalism 

  • Experience required in Media Relations and Crisis Communication Management or related field of minimum 5 years

  • Knowledge of French Media landscape

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written

  • Ability to multitask and work good under pressure

  • Excellent time management skills

  • Team Player 

  • Fluent English
