The Position

Global IT Infrastructure PMO

Job Summary

Location: Athens / Other in Europe

Role overview

The purpose of the Global IT Infrastructure PMO is to:

  • Ensure that the program/project is completed on schedule and that the final product meets the business, technical, and established quality requirements.

  • Manage forecast resource allocation schedules, work progress and project budgets.

  • Take direct action on programs/projects, or on behalf of a company department for cross-functional tracking of the project portfolio.

  • Contribute to the identification of infrastructure requirements for acquisition and divestiture targets and ensure they are completed on time and within budget.

Reports To: IT Director Global Infrastructure

Direct reports:  2 Direct reports and consultants 

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Responsible for the development of estimates for the enhancement or development effort in planning, analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation.

  • Plans, organizes, prioritizes, and manages multiple work efforts across infrastructure teams.

  • Monitors project milestones and phases to ensure the project is on schedule. 

  • Notifies team leads of project timelines, milestones, phases, work requests target dates, and approved executable work package.

  • Prepares project status reports on a periodic basis for Application teams, Infrastructure teams, IT Manager PMO and appropriate stakeholders.

  • Adjusts and revises allocated resources estimates when necessary.

  • Ensures processes and activities are followed and documented.

  • Coordinates the establishment of infrastructure project specific procedures with team leads.

  • Serves as the primary point of contact for all infrastructure project-related issues and resolution of issues.

  • Develops, motivates, and directs Infrastructure project manager members to create a team environment.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or technical institute degree/certificate or equivalent work experience.

  • Typically requires 5 or more years of relevant experience deploying and/or administrating infrastructure solutions. 

  • Management of an international team.

  • Fluent or native English speaker.

  • Experience managing multiple, simultaneous and high-profile projects.

  • Experience in developing project management programs, standards and procedures, including successful implementations in large enterprise environments.

  • Solid foundation in IT infrastructure concepts and procedures.

  • Good understanding of Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure).

  • Ability to travel.


  • Experience of working within a culturally diverse global company

  • Conversant in French or another European language would be advantageous
