The Position

Imerys Minerals Limited

Operative, Melbur Refinery

A vacancy has arisen for an Operative based at our Melbur Refiner, reporting to the Day Captain.

Working 74 shift pattern, 12 hour days and nights which will be G2 level.

The successful applicant will need to operate all of the equipment within a Refiner in accordance with Company EHS policies and management instructions.

Applicants should:

  • Have significant refining knowledge, experience and competence to include operational experience & competency in the use of SCADA controls;

  • Have the required aptitude to learn a range of complex refining processes;

  • Good numeracy and literacy skills;

  • Be flexible to work in different areas as required and have the ability to work to
    demanding and changing priorities;

  • Have excellent EHS knowledge and awareness including COSHH;

  • Good IT, communication and organisation skills with the ability to work using own initiative, without close supervision and to work effectively as part of a team;

  • Demonstrate a willingness to undertake further training;

  • Have a full UK clean driving license.
