For our site in Bodio, Switzerland, renowned for the processing of graphite for over a century, we are looking for a:
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Oversee and supervise the workplace and work activities on the site to enforce safe work practices in place and are followed by workers;
Provide administrative support: preparation of KPIs, periodical statistics and reports; preparation and update of working instructions and procedures according to the Company policies;
Perform periodical audit and regular inspection, to identify hazards and non conformities, unsafe or unhealthful conditions and behavior;
Be a team player and a coach, supporting the development and training of HSE skills, awareness and knowledge among all levels of the plant organization, conduiting safety;
Manage the availability, selection and correct use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and check the provision and update of the Safety Plan;
Manage health and industrial hygiene surveillance with external providers;
Be the contact point with Authority for safety and health legal compliance aspects;
Collaborate with the Project/Engineering site Construction Manager for all site construction & installation Coordinate the team of security specialists on contract for the plant.
Bachelor of Science (BS) in engineering, chemistry, mining, environmental sciences or other related HSE field;
Qualified and registered CFSL/ASGS (or equivalent by SUVA) Health and Safety Professional;
5-7 years pregressive experience in technical or EHS related position, preferable in a comparable industrial domain, with proven experience as supervisor on the field;
Fluent in Italian and English, German and French are a plus;
Excellent comprehensions of occupational safety and health International and Swiss Standards and Codes, ability to interpret legislation and regulatory standards requirements and updates;
On call availability to coordinate and advise emergency response and security teams on necessity;
Expertise in documents management and procedure/technical instruction preparation;
Elaboration of risk assessment, lesson learnt and root-cause analysis documents, proactively identifying existing gaps and risk factors in the company, determining hazards, risks and root causes/problems to appropriately respond to issue, reduce risk exposure and prevent accidents.
