The Position
Deputy Manager LogisticsJob Summary
Job Summary:
Deputy Manager Logistics managing the end to end logistics activities. Deliver value-added services to our customers in order to serve their business needs and to meet/exceed their expectations. Supervise bulk vessel operations, manage and monitor vendors responsible for the safe, efficient, and economical handling of vessel’s operations while alongside at the Port of Kakinada.

Job Scope & Dimension:
Responsible for the planning, organizing and managing logistics operations for Exports all over. Responsible for Handling Bulk Vessel operations from South & East port of India for Minerals. Sound experience of handling both export and import of minerals. Familiar with technical and commercial aspects of Bulk Vessel its functionality. Handled Port operations and Familiar with Custom House agents and formalities of customs. EXIM Documentation expert and should be good in MIS reporting.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
Supervise vessel planning activities prior to the ship arriving to port
Ensure to provide all the required post shipment documents to the customer on time.
Works closely with Terminal management, surveyors, internal teams to ensure Bulk vessels are handled at the port in a timely manner.
Coordinate and make all arrangements for timely berthing of the bulk vessel
Follow up for readiness of material & Logistics for material movement
Maintain and circulate stock report on daily basis to concern stakeholders
Complete required documents associated with operations in an accurate and timely manner
Preparation of Pre-shipment documents and coordinate with CHA and vessel agents for shipment connection
Will be held responsible coordinating for placing of the trucks with logistics team as per the vessel laycan given by purchase department
Coordinate for documents released by vessel agents after vessel sailing.
Maintaining data related to vendor bills and seeking approvals from department heads..
Follow up with various service providers for execution of the shipments from ports
Visiting Container yards, CFS, Sea warehouses & ICI warehouses to ensure cargo and personal safety.
Provide logistics requirement to purchases department and coordinate with them for contracts finalization and initiate PR/PO process
Generating freight PO’s and GRN in ERP (ACCPAC) for Export Freight Invoices
Necessary entries in ERP on daily basis
Vendor bills submission to accounts department and payment follow up with accounts
Coordinate with CHA for Export clearance.
Maintain all the records of Exports documents, weighments slips, photographs of material loading into vessels as per SOP
Ensure the EGM are filed in a timely manner and provide the EGM data to the taxation department on quarterly basis along with FOB value for all the Shipping bills.
Maintaining data of Exports with SB details and FOB values.
Providing the information required by CS Department/ QC for complaint Investigations.
Responsible for all port related actives. Unloading the materials at Ports with proper Weighment.
Circulating the day to day reports of stock status to CS and Logistics teams.
Loading the materials as per the blending ratios suggested by QC
Stacking the materials at stock yard as per grades
Manpower management for loading, unloading, material cleaning all port activities
Stock management as per mining norms
Supervising quality & quantity of inward and outward goods
liaise with surveyors for loading and discharging of material from holds
Ensure right quality and quantity loaded into vessel and delivered to customers
Drive efforts to minimize additional expenses and customer complaints.
Job Specification:
Education:
Master Degree in EXIM / Bachelor degree in Management / EXIM with strong practical exposure in EXIM will also be considered.
Experience:
6- 10 years experience
SOFT SKILLS:
Very analytical and rigorous

SPECIFIC JOB SKILLS:
Familiar Google Sheet (or at least Excel), Google slide (or at least PowerPoint)

Knowledge of Indian customs procedure of Exports of container shipments, Bulk vessel shipment, shipping documentation, port operations and incoterms, should be able to analyze the Draft survey reports
Good Knowledge on handling bulk vessel and port operations.
