Job Summar
Based at our North American Headquarters in Roswell, Georgia, Imerys is hiring for a Supply Chain Director. We offer a hybrid work arrangement with 3 days/week in the office and 2 days/week work from home.
The Supply Chain Director is responsible for strategic direction and tactical execution of the supply chain of PMA (37 assets across USA, Mexico & Canada). She/He will be the owner of the Sales & Operations Planning process (demand, supply and inventory planning) and will architect the overall domestic and export supply chain. The goal is to design, develop, and implement segment-specific supply chain strategies to support the growth of PMA. This individual ensures short-term effectiveness and long-term viability of the supply chain to support production operations, developing and maintaining lasting relationships with customers.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Lead and develop a team of professionals, setting clear direction and ensuring appropriate capabilities are developed across the team, to oversee PMA supply chain activities such as sales & operation planning, forecasting, or inventory management
Accountable for delivery of service targets, resolving and escalating key issues through the S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) as appropriate
Accountable for ensuring that an end to-end optimized supply plan is in place
Evaluate options and make decisions on key supply chain planning scenarios
Collaborate with the supply chain strategy teams to move key programs from strategy into execution including network and sourcing changes
Identify and manage key supply chain challenges and risks, and putting in place mitigation plans
Collaborate with commercial leads and operations leadership teams to align supply and demand activities
Collaborate with sales teams to ensure Forecast inputs are properly managed accurate and loaded into an Integrated Business Planning system so that industrial plants are aligned to support the business with the required people, resources and inventory as needed
Prepares and consolidate all data, KPIs and scenarios to be discussed during the strategic S&OP meetings
Establishes and reviews all supply chain KPIs (on-time-shipping, forecast accuracy, finished goods inventory, ..) and processes (replenishment of export orders, S&OP, ..) for the business area to evaluate the health of the business
Lead inventory management process between S&OP, Operations, and Finance
Lead production planning for strategic assets
Continuously review the S&OP process to ensure it suits business needs and is up to date with best practices of the industry and within the global organization.
Leads global Supply Chain initiatives and projects for the Performance Minerals Americas scope to support export and import activities
Reports to the Business Planning & Supply Chain VP
Qualifications
Successful US-based candidates must be fully Covid-19 vaccinated before the employment start date unless exempted by applicable law.
10+ years’ experience in supply chain management within a complex, global fast moving manufacturing organization
Degree in business, engineering, supply management, or related field required; advanced degree preferred
Leadership Skills
People: ability to communicate, coach, teach and present to all levels. Strong leadership & cross functional team interaction skills. Sound judgment and decision making coupled with good negotiation ability.
Business: demonstrates general understanding of manufacturing plant operations and how to measure. Can lead multiple projects, conduct assessments, lead and long-term improvement projects
Technology: working knowledge and demonstrated ability with ERP systems. SAP knowledge is a plus
