The Position

S & OP demand planning manager

Job Summary

JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE

 

Manage the demand planning processes for part of  RAC plants to ensure a balance of supply and demand, alignment of functions and Top Management delivery of mid to long-term business targets and customer satisfaction. Animate monthly demand reviews and monthly S&OP meetings

JOB SCOPE/DIMENSIONS

Work in close collaboration with the Sales Manager of the Abrasive & Refractory  businesses, to ensure 

Establish and execute a monthly S&OP process for 2 sites in Italy and Germany . 

 

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Demand planning Process 

  • Coordinates Demand Forecasting process: data gathering and analysis, incorporating business intelligence and forecast information from Sales and finance, for multiple time horizons (12 months , year end, etc.) on a given scope

  • Creates and maintains demand forecast models and KPI such as forecast accuracy, bias

  • Animate monthly demand review to show demand projection 

Supply Process 

  • Prepares all data, metrics and scenarios to be discussed during monthly supply review meetings. Purpose is to show the future load of the plants by workshop/family on a monthly basis (need to transform the demand into production requirements)

  • Analyse and Explain supply and demand issues.

  • Ensures identification, monitoring and reporting of assumptions, risks and opportunities related to the medium to long-term business targets. Escalate as appropriate

  • Writes S&OP meeting minutes, communicates key actions and conclusions to stakeholders and performs follow-up of actions

  • Continuously review the S&OP process to ensure it suits business needs and is up to date with best practices

  • Key interfaces: strong partnership to be built with (i) Segments leadership, (ii) product management,  (iii) Supply Chain, (iii) Operations; (iv) Purchasing; (v) Finance

  • Drives transformation and implements new BA organization and structure for his/her perimeter

  • 5 to 10 % business travel is required 

 

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Master Degree 

5+ years of S&OP and Demand Planning Management

Collaboration and experience with international stakeholders 

 

Knowledge, skills, Imerys Leadership Behaviors 

 

Strong knowledge of Demand Planning 

Strong analytical skills and strategic understanding

Advanced Excel knowledge

BI tools knowledge is a plus 

Others: strategic thinking, interpersonal skills, ability to propose solutions

Advocate for data integrity

 

Good communication and relational skill 

Fluent in English (writing and speaking) 

German is a plus
