The Position

Supply Chain Manager

Job Summary

  • ensure that appropriate import and export compliance procedures are followed by employees and contracted service providers.
  • Optimizes the distribution network and logistics flows to ensure customer delivery at the best transportation type and time;
  • Manages freight and transportation contracts in link with purchasing teams. Handle relationship with logistics subcontractors
  • As a result, is accountable for optimizing the external warehouse workflow across the perimeter
  • support growth objectives through the development of concise metrics and reporting functions.
  • Anticipates key delivery issues across his perimeter by permanently ensuring the match of delivery forecast to logistics capabilities;
  • generate daily, weekly and monthly reports to provide stakeholders with actionable data and insights regarding current stock levels by category and location.
  • Implements the right continuous improvement actions to professionalize and homogenize the supply chain function across the BA in link with group methodologies and support functions
  • Inputs the S&OP process at PMA & PMEMEA planning level with consolidated logistics and storage capacity data and is accountable for its forecast;
  • Ensures efficient sharing of information between Operations and Sales about procurement, inventory management (in link with operations) and fleet availability.
  • Is accountable for the OTS, and customer complaints/satisfaction;
  • Key interfaces: strong partnership to be built with (i) Operations, (ii) Segments sales,  (iii) Demand Planning and S&OP leader; (iv) Purchasing; (v) Finance; (vi) IT
  • manage labour costs, personnel productivity, inventory levels, data accuracy and stocking strategies.
  • the daily jobs includes
    • Generating New orders and obtaining order acknowledgements
    • Monitor import vessel schedule and report status
    • Document handling for vessel arrival & tax related
    • Coordinate import customs clearance fulfilment import requirement according to the local law and regulation
    • Monitor overall inbound process to meet the business requirement and urgency
    • Responsible for supporting & leading day-to-day warehouse operations covering inbound, outbound and returns
    • Communicate closely with service providers to ensure continuous and efficient workflow
    • Liaise with Customs Brokerage to prevent or resolve if any issue occurs
    • Perform monthly and annual cycle count
    • Monitor safety stock level to maintain optimal stock level and check space utilisation
    • Inspect the monthly expenses based on the contracted rate and obtain payment approval per the monthly expense closing schedule
    • Analyse the actual cost versus budget on a monthly basis
