The PositionDistribution Manager
To lead local distribution team, manages and supervise all distribution and despatch activities, instill best supply chain practices culture, develop/deploy effective strategies and support regional Supply Chain on optimization of initiatives in order to achieve both local and regional businesses’ goals while ensures delivering Imerys clients on time in full.
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Define and apply in-country supply chain strategy/policy and support regional initiatives
Develop and implement the best logistics practices (including Safety and Sustainable development)
Set departmental budget/ metric and review with the team regularly and lead the entire team members to achieve the performance metrics.
Bring market and regulatory knowledge and ideas with continuous research for improvements of current processes.
Reduce in-country main variable costs (transport & shipping optimization, wastage reduction, efficient operating method, services, capex categories) with Total Cost of Ownership approach
Contribute to working capital improvement
Improve service quality: optimize process and increase coverage, anticipates key issues with advance resolutions, CRM coordinator for non product quality related remarks / complaint
Manage in-country distribution and despatch planning team to ensure meeting OTIF set and optimization activities
Consistently and promptly input data required for country OP and S&OP process
Training and coaching team members for better performance.
Act as the company's advisor on all matters relating to the distribution function
Close collaboration with other functions in particular Operations, EHS, I.T, S&OP leader, Sales, Purchasing and Finance
Improve usage of ERP, maintain accuracy of distribution database and all related information in order to optimize work efficiency and decision making process
Minimum Diploma in Engineering/Business/Logistics/ Other Discipline
At least 8 years of experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Customer Service related field
Industrial experience preferred with knowledge in ERP System, management, freight and contract execution
Dynamic, hard worker, open minded & result oriented
Good interpersonal skills with ability to work in cross functional and regional team environments and able to build good relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
Excellent integrity and ethical standards.
High level of professionalism
Good people management skills, ability to influence others without direct reporting lines
Customer oriented profile
Computer skills required (Google Suites, ERP, etc)
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Malay, Conversing in other language is an added advantage
