The Position

Freight Administrator
Par Moor Centre, Par, Cornwall
Salary range up to £22,000 gross per annum.
Role overview:
The position we are advertising for is a Freight administrator. They will be in charge of organising the despatches by Road and/or containers for our sites in Cornwall/Devon/Dorset.
They will report directly to the Supply Chain Manager and be part of a team of ~ 6 people covering other sites.
Some of the key tasks to be performed in the role:
Work closely with Sites in particular Operation & Production planning team to ensure we load as per production plan, limit slow moving stocks etc
Organise transport / Bookings and follow up up to despatch and beyond (late collections, operational issues, documentation issues)
Work closely with Customer Services to provide visibility on loading plan and flag any issues
Work closely with Purchasing team to load as per tender, request new quotes for new destinations etc
In charge of the performance of the perimeter : OTIF, volumes despatched, complaints management
CHIEF customs entries
VGM déclarations
Reports To: Supply Chain Manager
Direct reports: None
Qualifications & Experience
Prior experience in Logistics or Customers services and Documentation is recommended
Good data management skills (excel, google)
Good communication skills.
Knowledge in an ERP (IFS, SAP) is an advantage
