The Position
Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) ManagerJob Summary
Location: Milos
Imerys EHS Manager is responsible for developing, planning and coordinating environmental and health/safety activities to ensure employees/contractors engagement, regulatory compliance and implement the EHS management system to protect human health and the environment.
In general, the Environmental Health, and Safety Manager is working closely with Milos EHS Hub manager to implement policies & protocols to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Inspects the facility to identify safety, health, and environmental risks.
Implements inspection policies and procedures, and a schedule of routine inspections.
Audits environment, health and safety procedures/protocols requirements for all areas of the company.
Prepares and schedules training to cover emergency procedures, workplace safety, and other relevant topics.
Creates and updates task-based risk assessments.
Monitors compliance with Environment, Health & Safety procedures and protocol requirements.
Create inspection reports to document inspection findings using Imerys integrated tools.
Manage security guards and access control of Imerys facilities.
Facilitates and implements the company’s Emergency Response plan
Monitors Fire safety rules and sea pollution contingency plan.
Maintains records and creates reports of discharge of or employee exposure to hazardous waste and/or pollutants, as required.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in mining engineering is mandatory
Industrial experience is necessary, related experience will be considered as a plus.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Fluent in the English language (writing and verbal).
Very good knowledge of data analysis and risk assessment.
Ability in producing reports and advanced presentation skills
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent organizational and motivational skills.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite.
Knowledge of environmental regulations and policies will be considered as a plus
