Mission:

The Foundry Sales Account Manager will lead and coordinate sales and customer activities in the United Kingdom related to foundry to ensure a strong business development.

The position is based at the Leeds Office or in the Ellesmere Port office (not necessarily the applicants home town) and will involve 60 - 75% travelling. 

Responsibilities:

Working closely with the Foundry Sales Director Nordics + UK the main responsibilities of the Foundry Account Manager are the following: 

  • Establish and secure new business, targeting key new accounts.

  • Follow-up installation projects and products trails.

  • Introduction of new products, services & other developments.

  • Prepare quotations (materials, engineering, installation and invoicing).

  • Provide first level technical support to customers and leverage Calderys Europe Central Resources to develop high skilled technical support to the targeted clients.

  • Develop, present & implement customer plans to meet sales volumes goals & profitability levels.

  • Assist in resolving customer complaints & claims.

  • Leading of price negotiations.

  • Management and coordination of the UK Foundry Installation Team in all aspects of planning and project execution.

  • Ensure that the required ‘risk assessment’, ‘method statement’ & company safety policies are in place for site installation projects.

  • A clear understanding of Health & Safety in the workplace.

  • Take the lead in collecting the payment of the assigned accounts overdues.

  • Review market analysis to determine customer needs, price schedules and discount rates.

  • Complete monthly, quarterly and annual forecast of expected sales conditions.

  • Responsible for delivering a budget and follow-up on the budget.

  • Prepare periodic sales reports showing sales volume, potential sales and areas of proposed client based expansion.

  • Monitor and evaluate the activities and products of the competition.

  • Reporting the KPI according to company policy.

  • Travel to/visit customer sites.

  • Report to the HTS Foundry Sales Director Nordics & UK, (Sweden).

Profile/Competencies:

 

Education, background, level of experience

  • Degree or equivalent in a technical field (Mechanical, metallurgy/inorganic chemistry, chemical engineering or equivalent experience from the foundry business, minimum 2 - 3 years). 

  • Strong knowledge about refractories and associated applications and processes required.

  • Prior sales experience (2 -3 years minimum) ideally within the refractory (or a market related) industry.

  • Possessing substantial knowledge of the refractory market in the relevant segment, with a proven track record of delivering results.

  • Experience in the execution of projects in plant engineering with focus on Ferrous and Non-Ferrous foundries.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to interface with all aspects of many departments (people, corporate departments, production plants) and with other nationalities.

  • Strong multi-tasking, time and management skills.

  • Highly resourceful and self motivated.

  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal and negotiation skills (commercial instincts and skills).

  • Demonstrated management/leadership behaviours : Leads self and others, Communicates and collaborates, Delivers results and drives improvement.

  • Very good knowledge in Excel and other admin programs.

  • Willingness to make international business trips (for Calderys group meetings & Customer support) when required.
