The Position
Global Team I-Cube (Continuous improvement) Program Team MemberJob Summary
Job Scope
Leading and facilitating Imerys ICube (Continuous Improvement) Path Forward Implementation at different Group “Focus 40” sites (as per pre-defined roll out plan), on short term (4-5 months) assignment per site within the Business Area Refractory, Abrasives & Construction (RAC) (1,1 bn €, 4 095 employees, 39 sites worldwide).
Job Summary
Be part of the RAC Global ICube Team (BA GTI), globally implementing the Level 4 implementation methodology as part of the Path forward of the ICube journey
Facilitate the implementation of practices and digital/non digital based working tools to improve capabilities of managers and employees at designated site
Collaborate and work closely with all site organizational levels, from site manager and members of site management to shop floor as needed
Support applying full methodology, on site and hands on, including Site Engagement and Preparations, Training and Coaching, Work processes and Work environment optimizations and Impact improvements
Take active part in governance activities related to implementation, which includes reporting, governance meetings and problem solving (as applicable) related to the implementation activities and to the implementation methodology
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
This assignment will start with one wave (4-5 months) of On Site, On the Job Training, supported by external consultancy, in order to showcase ICube Path Forward Implementation impact on a site, and to build GTI (and Site Local team) capabilities. These capabilities will set GTI member’s abilities to perform the following:
Support on site Level 4 implementation activities
Take part in applying implementation methodology for the first wave on site (4-5 months), including:
Prepare implementation tools (templates, training decks, work environment etc.)
Train and coach site disciplines as needed
Support Site current state and potential assessment
Support designing and planning the 1-3 years implementation plan, deriving the first wave scope and targets
Support implementation using “sprint” approach
Take part and facilitate governance activities
Coach and Train site team to be able to take over all activities and autonomously run next waves
Support full handover to site team
Contribute to codifying knowledge and lessons learned into ICube Path Forward Play Book (TBD)
Skills and Attributes Requirements
Good knowledge of mining/manufacturing in industrial environment
Proven experience in operations
ICube/Lean methodology is a plus
Project management skills, organized, time conscious, result oriented, etc
Analytical/synthesis skills, structured, able to “connect the dots”
Influencer, communicator, strong advocate of Continuous Improvement
Autonomous, creative, rigorous
Team player, ability to work in multi-cultural and geographical environment
Proficient in Google suite tools and strong skills in learning new IT tools.
Fluent in English (any other languages appreciated)
Education/Experience Requirements
Engineering or Technical degree
First experience (from 2 years) in industrial environment
Personal requirements
Ability to travel 70% of the time (post Covid)
Ability to commit to 4-5 months single site assignment
Ability to commit to 18-24 months overall, in this position, hence ~5 sequential sites implementation
