The Position

IT Project Manager

Job Summary

The purpose of the IT Project Manager is to:

  • Successfully lead the assigned projects, by Initiating, Planning, Executing, Monitoring, Controlling and Closing the design, built, implementation and deployment phases of IT solutions, in line with the IT policy and Enterprise Architecture principles.

  • Participate in spreading the project management culture across the organization; industrializing the processes; ensuring alignment & compliance with policies and procedures; being a prescriptor and advocate for global IT solutions; developing the team reputation of excellence; exploring added value opportunities.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Lead all the project management areas (Integration; Scope;Time; Cost; Quality; Procurement; Human resources; Communications;

  • Risk management; Stakeholder management)

  • Determine and define project scope and objectives

  • Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner

  • Prepare budget based on scope of work and resource requirements

  • Track project costs in order to meet budget

  • Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan

  • Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress

  • Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables

  • Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution

  • Monitor progress and make adjustments as needed

  • Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement

Qualifications & Experience:
Essential

  • 5 years' higher education – Master’s degree, engineer training

  • At least 2-3  years working experience in managing IT application projects (i.e. implementation of new tools, migration of applications etc)

  • Experience communicating with stakeholders from multiple functions

  • Experience with working in a decentralized environment

  • Experience in change management

  • Fluent English

Desirable

  • PMP certification

  • Experience of working within a culturally diverse global company

  • Conversant in French or another European language would be advantageous

  • Strong leadership with the ability to draw and embody a strategic vision

  • Flexible working hours to accommodate diverse geographic locations

  • Good project management skills and ability to work well under pressure so as to meet timelines and deadlines

  • Ability to work within a culturally diverse global company

  • Experience in communication and cooperation with geographically distributed teams
