Job Scope

Leading and facilitating Level 4, Wave 1, ICube Path Forward Implementation at different Focus 40 sites (as per pre-defined roll out plan), on short term (4-5 months) assignment per site


Job Summary

● Be part of the BA global ICube team (BA CoE), globally implementing the Level 4 implementation methodology as part of the Path forward of the ICube journey
● Lead and facilitate the implementation of practices and digital/non digital based working tools to improve capabilities of managers and employees at designated site
● Collaborate and work closely with all site organizational levels, from site manager and members of site management, to shop floor and above site disciplines (Hub/BA) as needed
● Apply full methodology, on site and hands on, including Site Engagement and preparations, Training and Coaching, Work processes and Work environment optimizations and Impact improvements
● Oversee governance activities related to implementation, which includes reporting, governance meetings and problem solving (as applicable) related to the implementation activities and to the implementation methodology
● Direct management of 2 BA Global Team Icube (GTI) members supporting above mentioned activities

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

This assignment will start with one wave (4-5 months) of On Site, On the Job Training, supported by external consultancy, in order to showcase ICube Path Forward Implementation impact on a site, and to build GTI (and Site Local team) capabilities. These capabilities will set GTI Leader’s abilities to perform the following:
● Facilitate and support on site Level 4 implementation activities
● Run the implementation methodology for the first wave on site (4-5 months), including:
● Engage and align with site management on overall scope and targets
● Prepare implementation tools (templates, training decks, work environment etc.)
● Train and coach site disciplines as needed
● Conduct Site current state and potential assessment
● Support and guide designing and planning the 1-3 years implementation plan, deriving the first wave scope and targets
● Lead and support implementation using “sprint” approach
● Apply and facilitate governance activities
● Coach and Train site team to be able to take over all activities and autonomously run next waves
● Oversee full handover to site team
● Supervise codifying all knowledge and lessons learned into ICube Path Forward Play Book (TBD)
● Continuously report progress to BA CoE and to Group CoE
● Share knowledge and lessons learned with other BA GTIs to continuously improve Level 4 Implementation methodology

Skills and Attributes Requirements

● Good knowledge of mining/manufacturing in industrial environment
● Proven experience as operations manager in charge of a team
● ICube/Lean methodology is a plus
● Proven ability to work in a global matrix organization
● Project management skills, organized, time conscious, result oriented, etc
● Analytical/synthesis skills, structured, able to “connect the dots”
● Influencer, communicator, strong advocate of CI
● Autonomous, creative, rigorous
● Team player, ability to work in multi-cultural and geographical environment
● Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (and Google suite a +) and strong skills in learning new IT tools.
● Fluent in English (any other languages appreciated)

Education/Experien ce Requirements

● Engineering or Technical degree is a plus
● at least 5 years of experience as Operations manager (preferably as plant or site manager)

Personal

● Ability to travel 50% of the time (post Covid) requirements

● Ability to commit to 4-5 months single site assignment

● Ability to commit to 18 months overall, in this position, hence ~3 sequential sites implementation
