BI Solution Platform Lead

Job Summary

Early 2018, Imerys has launched an ambitious internal transformation program to foster efficiency within the group: MAKE IT #1. MAKE IT#1 Group wide digital transformation is reshaping Imerys Digital landscape, encompassing 5 pillars: a set of common language and processes, a global ERP Core Model S4/Hana based, a common collaboration platform (GNOC, GSOC, unified WAN) and a common unified IT organization.


MAKE IT #1 aims at:


● Implementing common IT processes and tools,
● Harmonizing & rationalizing the IT landscape (processes, infrastructure and applications),
● Supporting existing programs and preparing the future (Industrial, Commercial Excellence, etc...)
In order to enable seamless development and roll out of these new tools and processes, Imerys IT is evolving, in 2021, from an IT with strong regional platforms, to a more global organization, to enable a strategic & consistent partnership with the BAs & functions as well as simplifying and harmonizing the IT landscape.


The purpose of the BI Solutions Platform Lead is to ensure the proper operations of the technical platforms that support BI solutions by maintaining a good level of performance, by controlling operating costs and by guaranteeing an up-to-date platform integrated into the IT landscape.

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES


BI Platform Administration
Key tasks and responsibilities are the following for in-scope technical areas:
● Organize, provide and control platform access,
● Configure and setup platform services,
● Provide a performant platform and also organize and participate in troubleshooting sessions with all necessary internal and external IT partners.
● Follow and control Platform costs by BI applications when applicable
● Manage the evolution of technical Platforms
● Provide and maintain tools for continuous integration and continuous delivery (Release management)
● Provide technical material for BI solutions leaders, for Architects, for IT Business Partners about the performance and to monitor activities on the platform when requested.
● Provide and maintain standards of development on the platform
● Ensure the support on the platforms for the developers
● Manage the relation with editors and request/ follow requests of Improvements or tickets opened to their support.

● Data & Integration Service Managers
● IT Office (Enterprise Architecture)

● External IT actors (editors, consulting firms, IT services companies, universities, innovation labs, research, …)


JOB SPECIFICATIONS


Education and Experience requirements


Essential


● 4 years' higher education – Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Audit, Risk Mitigation, Engineering or a
related field .
● 5+ years of functional experience in IT
● 3+ years of experience facilitating the development and implementation of business initiatives and projects, based on management objectives
● 5+ years of practical experience in projects in application interface development and data integration
● Experience implementing, migrating, managing data lake/data warehouse implementations
● Experience in data technologies related to business intelligence, predictive analytics, artificial intelligence, API management, enterprise application integration (EAI), and master data management.
● Experience integrating Business systems.
● Experience in monitoring and managing operational systems as Windows/Linux
● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

● Domestic and international travel may require physical effort associated with luggage and professional computer transportation. Hours can be extensive as well due to travel.
● Travel as required: Up to 15%
