Mission
The role of the Product Sustainability Specialist is to lead the definition, development and deployment of the Group Life Cycle Assessment program. His role includes the development and maintenance of the HTS database and the evolution of the HTS’ LCA calculation tool.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate is part of the High Temperature Solutions (HTS) Product Data team and leads the definition, development and deployment of the Group Life Cycle Assessment program. His role includes the development and maintenance of the HTS database and the evolution of the HTS’ LCA calculation tool.
Main tasks
Provide technical support on product sustainability related subjects as required for the development and roll-out of Product Sustainability program, including assessments (Ecoprofile calculation, Environmental Product Declarations, Life-Cycle-Assessments, qualitative impact assessments), planning, reporting, contribution to business reviews, etc.
Compile and organize the source data to build a consistent and reliable LCA Database for HTS products in compliance with guidelines developed at Group Level
Answer inquiries from Clients on product sustainability, policies or programs
Develop LCA expertise within HTS and the network to access necessary informations for operating LCA
Contribute the improvement of internal data quality necessary for LCA (plant recipes, raw materials origin…)
Continue to develop and improve the existing LCA calculation tool
Compile and organize the source data to build a consistent and reliable LCA Database for HTS products in compliance with guidelines developed at Group Level
Profile/Competencies
Engineering degree or Master Degree in a technical or engineering field
3-5 years experience in life Cycle Assessment and Carbon Footprint calculation with experience in database management and administration
Fluent in English (B2 minimum), French would be a plus
Essential
Open Mindedness, passionate and self-motivated on Sustainability topics
Ability to collaborate and work effectively across functions, with a various range of stakeholders
Strong data management, critical analysis and capacity for synthesis, with the ability to organize, compile, interpret and present effectively
Ability to handle a variety of tasks/initiatives
Ability to facilitate meetings, workshops and provide trainings on sustainability, climate change and LCA topics
Strong Organization and Coordination skills
Strong communication skills: written communication both in a form of scientific reports and in more popular-science publication + ability to communicate to all levels of the organization
