The Position
Marketing Manager Filtration EMEAJob Summary
Reporting to the Marketing Director for Filtration & Life Sciences EMEA, the Filtration Marketing Manager ensures the marketing activities for products and services under the Filtration Subsegment involving food and beverages processes (mainly for wine, beer, juice, oil), namely by analyzing customer needs, identifying and exploring opportunities, coordinating new products launch and global business opportunities. The Marketing Manager also builds a long term strategy for the specific market, as well proposes the adapted communication strategy.
The goal is to contribute to product development and market growth.
The Marketing Manager is comfortable with day-to-day marketing activities, as well as short-term strategy, thriving with tight deadlines and changing needs.
JOB SCOPE/DIMENSIONS
Supporting commercial development and promotion by:
Assessing markets trends
Updating market indicators
Updating market intelligence
Defining value in use, pricing strategy...etc
Developing a strategy for the market and the follow-up of its implementation
Developing & implementing communication strategy
Contributing/managing strategic initiatives & projects
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Market and segment
Recognize and raise weak signals from the market that could impact the business’ activity, namely by participating in market events, customers meeting, presence on social media; Read the market trends and customer insights and translate into business recommendation
Understand and segment the market, ensure the adapted Imerys Offering answering customer needs
Structure a multi-mineral product / solution offering with a clear and quantified value proposition for each of our products offered to the market as well as establish and justify a recommended price range based on: value-added, competitive dynamics, market strategy and profitability.
Define and Challenge route to market, distribution channels e.g. direct vs. generalist distribution vs. specialist distribution, e-commerce route
Establish and sustain contacts with key value chain stakeholders: other raw material producers, associations, equipment manufacturers, end-customers to promote Imerys interests and develop promoters / prescribers
New ideas, opportunities
Identify new ideas / opportunities that could beneficiate the business; analyse potential development opportunities within an application segment, propose key actions in order to develop this opportunity cost effectively, and submit it to enter the New Product or Service Development pipeline.
Lead or actively Participate new product development projects, prepare documentation, set price level and actively support Industrial, Supply Chain, technical and sales teams until full commercial launch
Define the product mix (product, price, package, positioning, promotion), ensuring a common understanding of all relevant information to guide the market introduction, sales development, and share it within the organization.
Collect and analyze the information regarding the adoption rate / perception / product performance of new products by customers through the business network, and identify corrective/ reinforcement measures if necessary.
Push, encourage, join & assist sales manager in running visits outside their usual customer portfolio/comfort zone; create interest and initiate marketing/technical contacts; Generate, identify and prioritize commercial development prospects in collaboration with sales managers and KAM and in line with agreed strategy
Cross functional support
Propose sales enablers tools that impact positively the customer and markets in liaison with external Communication; ensure continuous training of sales team; Prepare fact-based selling materials for the sales force
Reinforce Imerys presence and impact in the segment by establishing a communication strategy that includes trade show, social media, website and animate business team via CRM; comment visit report, fill capacity equipment, competitor consumption, news & posts on market, communicate on trends; Manage content and updates for customer and external touch points, participating in events, documenting business processes, and providing additional sales support
Support Imerys communication directions and high-level content for website, brochures and social media
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Engineering degree or PhD in material science or chemistry, ideally completed by a MBA or Master Degree in Business / Marketing, or, Bachelor's degree in Business/Marketing or related field, years of equivalent work-related experience in Industrial Marketing/Bus Dev positions in Filtration segment (either in a company using minerals as filter-aids in their process or competitive technologies (membranes) or in a supplier/distributor of filter-aids or membranes) .
Deep market and technical understanding of industrial filtration processes for food and beverages (needs, production process, market structure, performance) ideally in terms of mineral solutions.
Strong business sense and ability to interact effectively with people from all backgrounds and levels, and to influence others

Strong communication and presentation skills
Strong project management, multitasking, and decision-making skills
Proven experience developing marketing plans and campaigns
