We’re currently recruiting a Mechanical Fitter to join our family feel team, this team provides essential support ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our plant machinery.

This role is offered on a permanent basis, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 7am -3pm or 7:30pm – 3:30pm

The role
Because of the nature of the role, we require experience in a similar role of a background in mechanical engineering. You will be the ‘go to’ for the maintenance and repair of our process equipment, ensuring that our plant machinery continues to run at an optimal level through prevention and successful fault diagnosis. Work can be simple jobs through to relatively complex mechanical problems.
Main responsibilities:
Maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment. Including preventative inspections, reactive repairs, and fault-finding activities
Participate in the operation of CMMS by updating task status, completion reports and updating technical details
Health and safety is a huge priority, you will be adhering to company health and safety policies and procedures
About you
To be considered for this role you will be able to demonstrate experience in a similar role, where you have carried out maintenance on process machinery, within an industrial environment.
Additionally, you will have experience of fault finding, diagnostic and problem-solving skills. NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) in mechanical engineering or similar field would be ideal, though lower level qualifications will be considered, with a view to training you up to NVQ level 3.
