The Position
Production EngineerJob Summary
Role overview: The purpose of the Production Engineer is to support production and laboratory management in order to improve the organization and standardization of the manufacturing activities of the site, building a solid knowledge of the facility industrial fundamentals.
Reports To: The Production Engineer will report to the Site Operations Manager
Responsibilities and Duties:
Support production managers and supervisors to supervise the manufacturing processes, ensuring production is done in a safe and efficient manner
Understand the internal specifications for raw materials, additives, consumables and production aiming to proactively identifying non-conformities and improvement opportunities
Improve production processes through standardisation of activities, deployment of instructions and procedures and dedicated trainings
Diagnose problems in the production lines and liaise with maintenance and technical office to identify Root Cause Analysis and improvement actions
Improve Management of Change activities on site (process modifications, change of specifications, new equipment installations)
Cultivate and promote safety and continuous improvement culture in the plant
Actively contribute to Imerys Industrial Improvement program
Report production KPIs and PIs identifying the reasons for deviations and low performances
Qualifications & Experience
Degree in Engineering (Industrial faculties preferred)
Newly graduated or 1-3 years experience
Good knowledge of IT tools (MS Office and Google Suite )
Ability to understand process flows and layouts
Italian as mother tongue and English proficiency
