We are looking for our future talent to join our teams in Germany. The successful candidate will relocate to Neuwied Germany on local contract.
Mission:
Implement and drive industrial / continuous improvement programs to improve site cost competitiveness and efficiency of our processes, practices and site organization
Responsibilities
Leads Continuous Improvement programs deployment across the site by supporting the 2 pillars of I3 : improving Working conditions with MUST HAVES and generating margin improvement
Cultivates and promotes a strong continuous improvement culture across the site
Follow performance management system for the site with respect of BA guidelines
Facilitate/lead lean workshops (Kaizen, Hoshin,...) for quick improvements
Perform assessments on the site to evaluate industrial maturity and gap discrepancy as per Group standards
Shop floor support to analyse processes and practices to enable safety / efficiency / quality continuous improvement initiative generation, also with the support of Imerys Centers of Excellence and other Business Areas Centers of Excellence
Actively support the local team in production capacities designing/engineering: define and specify Process Equipment, issue Process Specifications for Inquiry.
Generates detailed continuous improvement initiatives across the site to generate savings
Maintains and creates appropriate documentation for reports, project execution, and data analysis
Develops a strong expertise in mineral processing and provides mentorship for the on-site process teams, also via technical trainings
Find ideas to upgrade existing processes and define new ones
Submit regular reports reflecting project financials, expenditures, savings, and any site performance KPI applying also best practices when required.
Leads effective operational processes’ implementation
Monitors progress of continuous improvement projects and related savings, including process management improvement, process modification, energy optimization
Key interfaces: ensures tight coordination with COO and I Cube teams
Culture changes: support behavior changes (agile way of work,..) to sustain continuous improvement efforts beyond project activities.
Profile/Competencies
Engineer with more than 2 years of experience in industry, (preferably in Germany),
Lean Six Sigma certification (Green or Black belt) is a plus
Key competencies
Ability to perform and understand process modelling
Demonstrated capabilities of reaching cost reduction and productivity by working on process improvement, development of new processes
Continuous Improvement culture and methods (project management, Kaizen, 6-sigma, value stream mapping, …)
Strong Analytical skills, incl. research
Problem solver
Strong Project Management skills
Technical / process expertise
Ability to positively influence teams in a matrix organization
Able to organize training paths for all levels of the organisation
Cooperation mindset and openness to listen to the input from other departments and stakeholders
German and English required
