We are looking for an
Senior Process Engineering Manager
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Process engineering validation of documents issued by Engineering Company (equipment, instrument and pressure relief valve specifications; equipment plans, detailed layouts; P&IDs; critical lines; lists; detailed functional analysis, etc.)
Attendance to 3D model reviews and validation of process constraints for layout
Technical recommendation for suppliers on the basis of bid comparison tables
Contribution to technical clarification meetings with suppliers
Contribution to HazOp reviews, as far as necessary
Validation of detailed process engineering features (vessel internals, piping, …)
Technical support to the project Team for meetings with third parties: raw material suppliers, utility suppliers, Authorities, etc.
Regular reporting of progress, difficulties, specific process needs
List of changes due to process and validation
Management of deviations for process related topics
Requirements:
Master’s degree or Equiv. in Process / Chemistry
Minimum 15 years’ experience in process engineering (design and execution phase) as leader with serious experience in engineering design for chemical plants (projects above 30 m€)
Confirmed Senior Process Engineer in Chemical Process, ideally with knowledge in Carbon Black/Organics production
Have safety (process, occupational…) as his first priority when developing his process work since the conceptual phase until start-up
Capable to define and supervise and coordinate engineering activities
Can easily identify gaps to the project strategy and propose solutions
Capability to interface and collect process know how with process
Proven experience in equipment process design
Fluent English for oral, read and written communication. French would be a plus
Strong leadership (in a matrix organization and by influence) and the ability to build relationships
Planning and organization skills
Results-oriented, problem-solving mindset and field presence
Capability to understand and challenge technological, process and operational aspects of the project
