The Position
Business Process Specialist - Purchasing/Procure to payJob Summary
The Business Process Specialist will apply knowledge and experience to document business processes, identify opportunities for efficiency, implement automation, and ultimately align and improve processes across a fragmented and diverse organization.
Scope:
Performance Minerals Americas: $1.0B revenue, 50 plants, 7 countries, 1,400 employees.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Create high level and detailed process documentation
Develop and evaluate business practices to drive the delivery of new business processes and process improvement
Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams in their efforts to leverage solutions to automate and improve business processes
Assess best practices, trends, and process implementation strategies to optimize solutions
Engage with business partners to document requirements, create functional specifications as well as engage with IT teams to understand and guide evolving technology
Develop initiatives for continuous business process improvements
Support the management, maintenance, and creation of master data
Work ahead of and alongside a global ERP rollout for SAP - identifying and addressing process gaps with a corporate core model
Work alongside internal control leadership to help document risks, identify internal control gaps and implement ways to mitigate risks
Skills and Attributes Requirements
Experience with SAP S/4Hana
Experience with Salesforce.com
Experience with SAP Analytics Cloud preferred
Ability to see the big picture and then break down into tactical solutions/actions
Strong communication skills with the ability to persuade/influence others at all levels of the organization
An ability to obtain buy-in from business leadership and teams to think beyond the ‘way things work today’
Proven ability to handle multiple projects and duties of different urgency and importance at the same time
Self-starter who welcomes responsibility, along with the ability to thrive in an evolving organization and an ability to bring structure to unstructured situations
Ability to arbitrate on difficult decisions and drive consensus through a diplomatic approach
Excellent planner with a track record of managing diverse stakeholders without missing deadlines
Education/Experience Requirements
BA or BS
5+ years of relevant experience working in a multiple ERP environment, in a Purchasing/Procure to pay capacity
Environment
Office 85%
Travel 15% - potential international
