The PositionMechanical Maintenance Engineer (Mobile equipment)
Role overview: Manage all underground and surface mobile equipment to ensure good operational condition and maximum efficiency according to IMERYS Safety Protocols and instructions.
Reports To: Mechanical Equipment Maintenance Manager
Direct reports: Mechanical Equipment Foreman
Responsibilities and Duties:
Plan, inspect and supervise all maintenance works in mines workshops.
Maintain the mobile equipment in the best possible condition, report problems and take relevant action.
Identify on-time hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical problems using testing devices (such as diagnostic software), and produce reports.
Organize and provide technical expertise and guidance to the working teams according to the given priorities.
Responsible for ordering spare parts and ensuring the availability of the spare parts and tools in each mine.
Collaborate with the purchasing department for the right choice of spare parts, depending on the needs.
Responsible for the housekeeping of the mines' workshops.
Responsible for compliance with safety instructions and provisions of the mining & quarry regulation (ΚΜΛΕ) and IMERYS EHS protocols, in particular, Serious 7,
Ensure compliance with mines and mobile workshops' environmental license terms.
Participate in various maintenance projects.
Qualifications & Experience
BEng or MEng Degree.
Member of the Technical Chamber of Greece (TEE – TCG) in case of MEng.
At least 2-3 years of experience as a mechanical engineer or foreman in a mobile equipment workshop.
Driving license, driving in difficult conditions (snow, mud, etc.).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Cooperative and team player.
Planning, organizational and problem-solving skills.
Project management and multitasking skills.
Very good command of the English language.
Very good in MS Office and computer skills.
