The Position
Deputy Manager Learning & DevelopmentJob Summary
Responsibilities:
Learning & Development:
Plan, organize, and develop training curricula, materials, and programs for Calderys India basis the
Organization Review focusing on key business Plans (business needs, trends and opportunities), Macro-Functional & Managerial Competency gaps and feedback from key stakeholders
Current and future training needs identified through Performance Management system & Succession Planning focusing on developing and implementing Individual Development Plans based on performance and potential driving career management
Analyze training needs and developing programs to address them
Draw and implement the overall Learning and development roadmap/Plan for all functions based on IDP/ People Capability and calendarize L&D interventions to fulfil business and individual needs
Review and align with Offerings of Calderys global on Training and Development and implement relevant programs in India including e-learning offers in conjunction with the global HR team
Identify, develop and on-board external L&D partners/institutes/agencies for delivery of L&D programs in line with the needs and Manage delivery of internal and externally provided training
Evaluate third party training providers
Talent Engagement:
Strengthen existing Engagement initiatives
Review Employee Engagement actions across BU basis stakeholder needs, EE Survey results held at Imerys Level
Lead Employee engagement process enabling enhanced employee experience across the Employee Life Cycle
Ensure the frequency and homogeneity of initiatives across the sites and offices in India
Diversity & Inclusion:
Promoting diversity & Inclusion at work place in line with Calderys Global initiatives
Designing company policies that reinforce diversity in the workplace, address all kinds of harassment and protect minority groups and women
Helping management on strategies that ensure a productive and harmonious workplace at local level
Ensure compliance with state or country regulations on diversity and equity
Implement local diversity development initiatives
Talent Management & Organization Development:
Ensure smooth implementation of global processes for Talent identification, assessment and development at local level
Active support to change initiatives including on organisation development & succession planning, career development, high potential identification, Executive coaching, and corporate training & talent retention programs
Support in deploying career-pathing options for high-potential employees
Building talent pipeline for future
Periodically share metrics wrt. L&D and Engagement actions in line with set objectives wrt process efficiency, effectiveness and cost/budgets
Profile/Competencies:
Education, background, level of experience
MBA/PGD in Human Resources; MPM&IR, MSW
Around 7 years of experience with at least 3 years in Learning and Development function of a small business preferably in industrial MNC, with clear responsibility and leadership on general L&D and Employee Engagement topics
Experience in a complex and dynamic, fast-paced multi-site work environment
Good at multitasking & stakeholder management with ability to priorities and manage conflicting demand
International openness and interest, energetic and pragmatic in his/her approach
Interpersonal Skills
Ability to work with teams and lead decision-making processes in a team environment.
Excellent interpersonal communication and listening ability.
Strong facilitation & persuasion skills, able to interface with all levels of responsibility in the organization
