The Position
Senior Environmental ManagerJob Summary
Context:
As part of the group sustainable development team and reporting to the group's environment Vice President, the senior environment manager brings their expertise in environmental management in an industrial environment.
The scope of the position is global. (Over 200 industrial sites in 40 countries)
The candidate participates in the assessment of the group's environmental challenges, in the definition of the associated objectives and action plans, and in their deployment and monitoring globally.
He/she is responsible for the group's environmental management system in close collaboration with the environment director and the environment managers of the Business Areas.
Responsible for the “optimization of natural resources” pillar with a focus on water and mineral waste management, he/she proposes, in collaboration with the environment VP, the associated strategies and action plans.
Main missions:
Environmental management:
As a member of the group environment team, evaluate priority issues, propose action plans, participate in their deployment and monitoring,
Assess the maturity of environmental management systems,
Participate in the consolidation of the group's environmental reporting,
Carry out internal environmental audits of operational sites
Natural resources and air emissions:
Develop and implement, in collaboration with the environment VP, strategies and action plans to improve the group's internal standards.
Lead and coordinate thematic working groups to share, progress and develop common tools.
Deploy training and communication of environmental objectives to the entire group.
Required profile:
Engineer or equivalent. Graduate of a scientific discipline (environment, biosciences, physics-chemistry, mathematics, process)
10 years of experience in environmental management in an industrial context.
Experience in an operational context is a plus.
Fluent written/oral English and French
Skills:
Autonomous
Ability to work in a multicultural environment, with the different entities and organization of the group (good relationship, cooperative, open)
Capacity for analysis and synthesis, scientific rigor
Good communication, ability to convince
Travels:
Between 15 and 20% (1 to 2 trips worldwide/year, 1 to 2 trips to Europe/year, 5 trips to France/year)
