The PositionAnalytical Project Manager
- Job Scope / Dimensions
The scope of the R&D projects is pertaining to the S&T community as a whole. Some projects might be limited to the PM EMEA context, but most of them have a larger scope.
The scope of the S&T activity monitoring (stage gate process, KPI, NPS sales etc.) is limited to PM EMEA.
All these activities are to be conducted in a transversal context, that is putting together energies and contributions of actors in a non-hierarchical context (marketing and sales business partners in different markets).
- Key tasks and Responsibilities
Strategic planning & managing of key projects for the S&T community (LIMS systems, Innovation Portfolio, Knowledge Management, Electronic Lab Notebooks, Innovation digitalization in machine learning etc.), including for instance drawing up detailed requirement specifications, RFQ’s, gap analysis reports, user acceptance testing, GANTT charts, internal reports and communications to stakeholders, in addition to managing project budgets, scope and timing.
The postholder is expected to manage projects autonomously from project description down to the final delivery, requiring limited direct management involvement.
Organizing and monitoring stage gate process implementation in the form of monthly and then quarterly portfolio meetings.
Following NPD sales and controlling NPD tag attribution along the course of the sales evolution and the introduction of new products in the market.
Following and expressing KPI’s pertaining to the activity of the S&T community, such as new launches, ventilation of projects etc.
In the course of these responsibilities, adapting KPIs and NPD monitoring in interaction with key stakeholders such as S&T directors, Marketing directors as well as Segment/market VPs.
- Other Important functions
Oversee maintenance, governance & administration for implemented software, such as the Knowledge Management System globally, LIMS systems & Sopheon Accolade across PM EMEA, plus other tools yet to be implemented.
- Job Specifications
Education and Experience requirements :
Experience in global and IT-related project management is a definite plus (3+years of experience managing projects).
Must possess broad knowledge and expertise in the use of project management methodologies and tools, resource management practices and change management techniques.
Project Management certification is a plus
Scientific background to a master degree level and understanding of lab work and innovation processes required to take into account user needs for implementation of tools.
Demonstrable proficiency in IT (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint and GSuite equivalents), including proficiency in Excel/GSheets.
Knowledge, skills, abilities and other characteristics (Identify skills/attributes required for this position which may include leadership, problem solving, interpersonal, communications, planning, team participation skills, and/or language requirements.)
Strong Project Management, planning & organizational skills.
Ability to manage several projects and work streams in parallel.
Good leadership, collaboration and influencing skills with the ability to enthuse and inspire multidisciplinary and remote teams and build successful relationships at all levels.
Strong analytical and adaptive problem-solving abilities.
Ability to understand IT related constraints and capabilities.
Strong communication skills in a multicultural context (both written and verbal).
