The Position

Dy. Manager- Technical Support (West Asia)

Job Summary

Key Tasks & Responsibilities :

Environment, Health & Safety:

  • Responsible for the environment, health and safety of its warehouses, loading/unloading activities and at warehouses

Technical Support Functions:

  • Support to Sales Team on Technical matters related to products
  • Support to Operation Team over efficiency and cost & quality
  • Support to Purchase Team for new vendors and consistent supply

New Product Development

  • Understand Imerys and competitor portfolio, Identify gaps and trends to introduce new products
  • Contribute to the success of new Products working in project mode

Excellence and Improvement

  • Should strive for excellence in service and bring out improvements in his/her area
  • Should create benchmark and best practices for the industry

Lab and Analysis

  • Upkeep of Lab and equipment, follow Lab protocols, update test-procedures
  • Perform tests, analyze results and prepare reports

Reporting

  • Weekly and monthly reports for Tech Support activities
  • Ensure updating of Salesforce and product data-sheet     

Job Specifications :

Education and Experience requirements:

  • Diploma / Graduate / Post Graduate in  Ceramics or Related Technology

Experience:

  • >07 years’ experience in ceramic Tiles or related industry in the R&D division

 Knowledge, skills and abilities

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, conversing in other local language
  • Computer skills
  • Problem solving skills
