The Position

Job Summary

Company

In September 2022, Imerys Group (www.imerys.com) published a press release confirming to start  an  exclusive negotiations with Syntagma Capital (www.syntagmacapital.com) for the potential sale of certain assets producing kaolin, ground calcium carbonate (“GCC”), precipitated calcium carbonate (“PCC”), and talc, which primarily serve the paper markets in North Americas, South America, Asia and Europe. 

This new company formed by all these industrial sites, kaolin mine, port access and Hubs is foreseen to start its operation under a new brand on March 31th, 2023. The revenue in 2021 was 400 million euros. It will offer mineral solutions for industries worldwide. All the sites are already working and producing. About 950 employees total. 

Besides serving lots of the paper and board markets nowadays, this new company will use its global footprint, unique assets and longstanding know-how to  develop new business opportunities and foster innovation. Sustainability is a core value of this Company.

Regarding employment, the Company needs to reinforce existing teams to operate as a standalone organization but also to meet its ambitious development plans. 

Branding and name of the Company are currently defined and will be  communicated largely very soon.

Overview

Responsible for evaluating the efficiency and costs of established processes, developing improvement strategies, and facilitating changes.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive technical assistance for all process areas to optimize plant equipment performance and utilize technical expertise to continuously determine, evaluate and improve equipment/system performance

Study the alternatives of raw materials by providing comprehensive technical expertise to evaluate the impact on the process

Systematically analyze system/equipment under-performance to determine cause and develop solutions

Contribute to plant budgeting process and accountable for continuous improvement of defined KPI’s, including development and administration of process department technical plan

Provide technical support/data to relevant functions (i.e EHS, Quality...) to answer to their needs (i.e. root cause analysis for customer complaints, compliance with environmental specifications...)

Manage Process team in the organization terms of both day-to-day project allocation and development and retaining technical skills and expertise for the Imerys group/division

Analyzing the efficiency and costs of existing business processes.

Identifying areas of improvement.

Creating and presenting process improvement reports.

Overseeing the implementation of new business processes.

Managing improvement teams and external contractors.

Troubleshooting and improving new processes.

Updating process and procedure policies.

Conducting ongoing analysis of processes in line with industry regulations.

Stating up to date with the latest technology and improvement strategies.

Experiences

Bachelor's degree in business management, process control management, or similar.

4+ years' experience as a process manager.

In-depth knowledge of relevant industry processes.

English

Skills

Ability to identify cost-saving measures and improvement strategies.

Advanced knowledge of business management software.

Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Ability to coordinate projects and lead multiple teams.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Report and procedure writing skills.

Available to work after hours and weekends when required.
