The Position
Consolidation & reporting analystJob Summary
Company
In September 2022, Imerys Group (www.imerys.com) published a press release confirming to start an exclusive negotiations with Syntagma Capital (www.syntagmacapital.com) for the potential sale of certain assets producing kaolin, ground calcium carbonate (“GCC”), precipitated calcium carbonate (“PCC”), and talc, which primarily serve the paper markets in North Americas, South America, Asia and Europe.
This new company formed by all these industrial sites, kaolin mine, port access and Hubs is foreseen to start its operation under a new brand on March 31th, 2023. The revenue in 2021 was 400 million euros. It will offer mineral solutions for industries worldwide. All the sites are already working and producing. About 950 employees total.
Besides serving lots of the paper and board markets nowadays, this new company will use its global footprint, unique assets and longstanding know-how to develop new business opportunities and foster innovation. Sustainability is a core value of this Company.
Regarding employment, the Company needs to reinforce existing teams to operate as a standalone organization but also to meet its ambitious development plans.

Overview
Analyses, and the maintenance of effective internal controls while ensuring statutory compliance in all accounting initiatives, within the country/region
Collaborates with other finance departmental heads.
Responsibilities
Deep knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP), practices, standards, laws and regulations, tax computations, design and implementation of process improvements and controls.
Ensure financial and accounting records are prepared, maintained and reported in compliance with local GAAP, IFRS and other regulations
Analysing and Monitoring the completion of internal and external audits, regulatory reviews and compliance evaluation an testing
Identifies opportunities to improve processes and controls
Drive process standardization for all activities in scope
Drive Finance Projects within scope
Ensure translation of Group accounting strategies into local requirements
Align area goals and objectives to support Company strategy and objectives
Experiences
5-10 years of experience
Previous jobs in external audit and a first consolidation experience

Profile
Strong analytical skills, with high proficiency in Google suite and Microsoft applications, particularly Excel. Additionally be highly proficient in the use of Magnitude and other financial softwares and databases
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with proficiency in preparing reports and presentations.
Accountability
Ensure that the consolidated accounts of the entities in scope are compliant with the standards, the laws and the operational needs
