The Position

Business Intelligence Manager

Job Summary

Based in our Roswell, GA Headquarters, Imerys is hiring a Business Intelligence Manager. We offer a hybrid work schedule with 3 days/week in the office and 2 days/week remote.

Job Summary:

The BI Manager will develop data solutions to assist in the advancement of initiatives needed to support business growth and operations across PMA. The role includes the creation of analytical reporting used to ensure BI applications enhance business decision making capabilities. They will support organizational data strategies for governance, design, implementation, integration, and usage. He or she will be expected to drive the completion of projects within the established scope, while motivating business users to contribute time to the effort. He/She will work closely with IT and business partners to interpret the data and implement solutions that create visibility for internal management and operations.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • In coordination with Corporate directives, create and communicate clear and compelling vision and strategy for Business Intelligence and communicate vision to PMA business stakeholders. As needed, leading and participating in committees.

  • Collaborate with internal business stakeholders (customers), vendors, industry consultants and senior company management to define information needs, develop business cases and manage service levels

  • Develop business requirements and produce supporting process design documentation that clearly articulates the requirements to the IT team

  • Own, create and improve the delivery and utilization of business intelligence reporting

  • Participate in data governance processes required to ensure data integrity, information optimization, and performance of the data warehouse.

  • Drive operational excellence for business process, data ingestion, transformation and publication to ensure confidence in reporting

  • Collaborate across Imerys to identify synergies and improve data quality; participate in workshops, committees and global initiatives

  • Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation.

  • Drive change management activities to promote adoption of to-be architecture

  • Develop and execute strategies to sunset legacy tools

Skills & Attributes:

  • Ability to manage regional requirements in conjunction with (sometimes competing) global initiatives

  • Demonstrated experience with full life-cycle project management: problem definition and solution discovery, stakeholder buy-in, validation, launch, and ongoing operations

  • Experience working with reporting and data visualization tools, ideally experience with SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP Business Objects and QlikSense

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with demonstrated ability to link analyzed data to business insights and present them in a compelling fashion.

  • Experience with technical aspects of Enterprise Data Warehousing and ability to work with specialists from related fields, including database developers and software engineers

  • Have working knowledge of business intelligence technologies, including SQL, BI tools and database fundamentals.

  • Outstanding analytical and problem solving skills and a good grasp of both the technical and business side of business intelligence.

  • Excellent planner with a track record of getting teamwork organized so no deadline is ever missed. Ability to federate matrical teams and influence without hierarchical authority, across cultural, geographic boundaries.

Requirements:

  • BA in a Finance/Computer Science or related field, MBA preferred or equivalent experience.

  • 5 to 8 years of experience as an individual contributor in BI related fields.
