The Position

Account Manager Tiles - Ceramics EMEA

Job Summary

Role

  • Management  of   the  Sales process at the allocated accounts 

  • Development of  the business (volumes, revenue) with the allocated accounts

  • Ensure the best possible customer experience is delivered across the functions to the allocated accounts

Responsibilities:

  • Detect and develop sales opportunities through regular contacts and visits to the customers in his/her scope.

  • Management of the opportunity pipeline in a way to ensure the highest possible conversion rate. Ensure an accurate reporting of the process in the CRM.

  • Apply pricing strategy, in line with product positioning and pricing targets provided by the  Area Sales Manager and SD 

  • Meet customers and organize specific surveys in order to provide business intelligence on available capacities, competitor footprints and development projects 

  • Work with the  other departments  (Logistics, CS, S&OP, Technical Support) in order to ensure customer satisfaction,  best possible  services as well as  maximization of the margin

  • Provide regular updates of the selling forecast per product and customer allocated and contribute to the definition of the budget 

  • Assist the Technical Services and Area Sales Manager in delivering technical support and settling quality claim

  • Participate to fairs, conferences and exhibition, support  customer events organization

Competencies and experience

  • Key competencies

    • Business sense  and result oriented

    • Structured and well organized

    • Ability to analyze data, detect trends and build sales strategy accordingly

    • Understanding and ability to communicate on technical topics 

    • CRM ability  and CRM tools knowledge

  • Ideal background/ experience

    • Engineer degree/ Sales degree

    • Ceramic industry, pigments or high temperature industries

    • Italian  mother tongue. Fluent English , any additional European  language (ideally French) is a plus

    • Location : Modena

  • Typical profile

    • Minimum 2  years experience in sales

    • Previous experience in Raw Materials for Glaze and Frits segments or Bodies  for ceramic tiles is a plus
