The Position

IT Manager Continuous Improv BP | Business Partner, Industrial / OT

Job Summary

The purpose of the IT Business Partner Continuous Improvement  is to:

  • Contribute to the efficiency and performance of the BA(s)/Function(s) he/she is in charge of

  • Ensure the priorities of the business partner are managed properly by providing solutions aligned with the IT policy and Enterprise Architecture principles

  • Promote and implement IT solutions to bring value to the BA(s)/Function(s) and contribute to reaching its objectives

  • Be a prescriptor and advocate for global IT solutions (security, data, architecture, …).

  • Roll out Flagship solutions as part of the Industry 4.0 program

    • Global package based on flagship 

    • Individual flagship solutions

  • Develop Imerys position around OPC UA 

    • user community

    • Developments around ML & AI

  • Publish Industrial solutions to the Imerys catalog in compliance with Imerys Strategy

  • Foster innovation

  • Reinforce Imerys IT OT strategy around open standard

JOB SCOPE/DIMENSIONS

  • Team of  4 employees

  • Number of projects : 15 on annual basis

  • 20 to 30 stakeholders : industrial VPs direct reports, Continuous Improvement direct reports 

  • Geographical scope: Global

  • Budget to manage : 4 millions program yearly CAPEX 

  • End-to-end IT service delivery to the OT Continuous Improvement organization, including project oversight, roll-out and on-going support. Specifically but not limited to programs such as Flagship initiatives, Industry 4.0 technologies and OT Lab set-up, maintenance and support

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Interface between IT and the Business:

  • Develop a deep knowledge of the BA(s)/Functions(s) business and build positive relationships.

  • Educate business partners about IT processes, roles, and capabilities.

  • Establish communication processes and channels across business functions.

 

Business Partner:

  • Partner with business leadership to plan new joint initiatives aligned with corporate strategy, evaluate proposals, and determine how they fit into business capability roadmaps and priorities.

  • Develop project portfolio based on business strategic plan.

  • Advocate for an awareness and focus on business partner strategic plans.

  • Partner with enterprise architecture to develop and maintain multi-year business capability roadmaps.

  • Identify and integrate business partners' long-range plans into business capability roadmaps and priorities, as appropriate.

 

Solution Provider:

  • Focus on business value rather than solutions to develop ideas, including digital awareness, risk assessments, business continuity, and business capability requirements.

  • Be creative and innovative with regards to your knowledge and awareness of industry trends and digital advances as they relate to new opportunities and business needs.

 

Budget Management and Execution:

  • Own the BP functional operating and project/program budget, and perform accurate budgeting and forecasting across operations and projects or programs.

  • Partner with the project/program/portfolio management organization (PMO) to ensure a healthy and well-managed initiative portfolio.

  • Ensure projects and initiatives progress, including consistent and effective communication. This includes managing escalation and avoiding risk.

  • Measure and communicate business value realized with the business partner on a periodic basis.

 

Management:

  • Build and manage the IT BP teams to ensure convergence and strategic partnering with the BA(s)/Functions(s) teams.

  • Coordinate all IT teams to ensure proper support for the BA(s)/Functions(s) day-to-day operations.

  • Diagnose individual and group competence, identifying skill needs and skill gaps.

  • Review training and development options and select appropriate methodology taking into account the individual, program and business requirements.

  • Coach and/ or mentor individuals and teams to address development needs.

  • Manage supplier and sub-contractors’ relationship with the help of other functions (Purchasing, Legal)

  • Transition OT applications to the Group OT Applications team once adoption reaches critical mass.

  • Establish standards, best practices and frameworks to attain short and long term goals and vision.

  • Plan and schedule Continuous Improvement systems DRP tests participation for the application portfolio in conjunction with the respective business stakeholders and IT infrastructure teams.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Education and Experience requirements

 

Essential

  • 4 years' higher education – Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Automation or related Engineering field .

  • 5+ years of functional experience in IT, with management responsibilities.

  • 5+ years of experience facilitating the development and implementation of business initiatives and projects, based on management objectives

  • Strong knowledge of:

    •  IT Infrastructure and cybersecurity principles in Industrial and IT Networks.

    • Industry 3.0, Industrial IT architecture & technologies

  • Familiar with:

    •  Industry 4.0 technologies such as IIOT, Big Data analysis/cloud computing, augmented reality, simulation, robotics and drones.

    • Business systems such as ERP and CMMS and their interaction with industrial networks.

  • Has previously held positions requiring an overall perspective of structure, strategy, issues, etc.

  • Conversant in French or another European language would be advantageous
