The Position

Receptionist

Job Summary

Receptionist FTC

Part time 18.75 hours 

Imerys Par, Cornwall

Salary £20,319 pro rata

Working in our main reception at our Par Moor Centre, welcoming and registering visitors and contractors to the site, you’ll play an important part in ensuring they receive a friendly, efficient and professional service.  

You’ll also have administrative tasks including:

  • Receiving/re-directing telephone calls

  • Making hire car and meeting room bookings

  • Post room; franking and sorting of incoming post

  • Registering parcel deliveries and notifying recipients

  • Managing the PPE store and maintaining site induction records

This is a fixed term contract role, 08.30 to 4.30 weekdays only, working on 3 days in week one and 2 days the following week.

About you

With customer facing experience you’ll have the ability to greet customers in a pleasant, welcoming, and helpful manner.  It’s a busy reception so you’ll also be good at multitasking and maintaining a calm and professional approach. 

In addition, we are looking for 

  • Proven IT skills: MS Word, ideally Gmail and Google docs/sheets

  • Computerised Switchboard experience - training provided if required

  • An excellent communicator, in person and over the phone

  • Literacy and numeracy skills to fulfil the requirements of the job

  • Ability to gain an understanding of the Imerys Minerals Ltd organisation and structure
