The Position

Intern - Geology

Job Summary

This intern will be at our Lewis facilities (mine and lab) to help with sample collection in the field in addition to some prep work. Must be able to work in variable conditions including heat, rain, snow, and wind. A part of the job will also include relocating drilling core samples, therefore the candidate must be able to lift 50 pounds without assistance and be comfortable working alone. Additionally, help may be needed to prep drill core and production samples for analytical testing. Must have a valid driver’s license, housing and transportation are not provided.

Observe and learn mining, sampling and sample prep processes for quality control
Work with site Geologists to organize drill core
Learn basic techniques of core logging
Learn basic techniques of GPS and Drone surveys
