The Position

Global IT Infrastructure Project Manager

Job Summary

As the Global IT Infrastructure Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of our worldwide infrastructure projects.

Your primary focus will be on the migration of our infrastructure to AWS, deployment of innovative infrastructure solutions (such as cloud services, infrastructure security solutions, secure access services, etc.), Infrastructure-scope of works for mergers & acquisitions (network & application separation), Data center consolidation and obsolescence projects, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.

  • User number: 11.500 IT users on 250 sites (EMEA, APAC, N. America & S. America)

  • Server number: 1.700 owned

  • Data Centers: 5, Computer rooms: 180, Cloud: AWS.

Responsibilities 

  • Lead and manage the end-to-end lifecycle of IT infrastructure projects, with a specific focus on the migration to AWS, infrastructure network & application separation projects, deployment of solutions. 

  • Within the program/project context, manage a team of IT professionals, ensuring effective communication, collaboration, and coordination throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Define project objectives, collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements, assess feasibility, and success criteria in alignment with business goals.

  • Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, including scope, work breakdown, schedule, budgets, and resource allocation.

  • Define project deliverables, conduct regular progress meetings  and proactively identify and mitigate risks and issues.

  • Provide regular project status updates, reports, and presentations to senior management and stakeholders.

  • Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and external partners to ensure seamless integration of IT infrastructure solutions. Act as Task Leader in technical or business-driven projects / programs managing the Infrastructure scope of works on Foster a culture of continuous improvement, driving innovation and efficiency in project delivery processes.

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to IT infrastructure and AWS.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Proven experience as an IT Project Manager (minimum 3-5 years), in the IT Infrastructure & systems area.

  • In-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure components, systems, security and architectures, including networking, servers, storage, and virtualization.

  • Strong expertise in managing large-scale IT infrastructure projects, including cloud migration projects (preferably AWS).

  • Project management certification (PMP or equivalent) is highly desirable.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Fluent English speaker with professional-level written and verbal communication, presentation and technical writing skills in English.
