The Position

Industrial Hub controller EMEA

Job Summary

Role

Business Partner to Hub Manager and their team to support decision making process related to industrial  challenges. Run appropriate operational and financial controls to serve business objectives.

Responsabilities

Business partnering activities

  • Analyze Hub costs and identify risks and opportunities to improve performance

  • Production volumes, energy consumption,

  • Supplier costs, Logistics costs, raw materials prices…

Controlling Activities

  • Responsible for financial budgeting and forecasting for the hub 

  • Lead and manage the monthly reporting for operations at hub Level

  • Responsible for performance analysis based on operations reporting: CAPEX/OPEX, iCube & purchasing savings 

  • Review capital expenditure requests 

  • Control financial impact of mining plan (Reserves & Overburden assets, Depletion, UoP) 

  • Responsible for standard cost set-up and follow-up

  • Monitor and propose performance improvement on Inventory and Accounts Payables

Accountability

Assess, monitor and control risks within the relevant hub area

Provide accurate, timely and appropriate data to support the effective monitoring of the Industrial  activities

Ensure compliance of business operations with company policies and best practices.

Competencies & Experience

  • Key competencies 

    • Strong attention to detail, operations  acumen and mindset for continuous improvement

    • Is practical and drives simple, standard and efficient processes 

    • Able to recommend and make decisions quickly under any situation

    • Strong team player

    • Knowledge of SAP, Magnitude and Excel/Google sheet skills (advanced) 

    • Excellent communications skills.

  • Ideal background/ experience

    • A minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.

    •     A minimum of 5 years of professional experience with financial/accounting experience is preferred.

    • Previous experience working within the mining industry preferred

  •  Deputy BU controller, Operation Controller, CPA or Business Analyst.
