Operative - Shelton New Road, Cliffe Vale Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, ST4 7AR
 

Salary: £27,914.25 (inclusive of Shift Allowance)
 

Shift Pattern/ Hours of work: 38.5 hours a week, working on a shift basis (day and night)

Day Shift: 

Week 1: 6am – 6pm - Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat & Sun (Wed & Thur off)
Week 2: 6am – 6pm Wed & Thu (Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat & Sun off)

Night Shift: 

Week 3: 6pm – 6am - Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat & Sun (Wed & Thur off)
Week 4: 6pm – 6am Wed & Thu (Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat & Sun off)

As an Operative you’ll be working in a team of two, reporting to the Production Supervisor of our busy clay processing site. You’ll be joining our friendly team in ensuring smooth and continuous production; safely and efficiently.

It’s a hands-on role that offers a wide variety of responsibilities, you’ll work with both fixed and mobile plant including forklift trucks, hoppers, mixers and other bespoke equipment, which you will receive training in.

The more common activities include, but are not limited to:

• producing clay slurries using mixing processes

• operating milling machines

• lab testing using viscometers and moisture meters and chemical analysis (training provided)

• loading/offloading trucks

Our team are hardworking and fun loving so you’ll need to bring your motivation, drive and enthusiasm. In addition, you’ll:

• Ideally have worked in a similar industrial environment

• Possess Health, safety and environmental knowledge

• Ideally have mobile plant licences / experience - however we can get you trained up

• Have good numeracy, literacy and IT competence

• Hold a full and valid UK driving licence
