The Position

S&T Manager- Life Sciences and Filtration

Job Summary

Join us at our Science and Technology center in Johns Creek, GA, as an S&T Manager. In this role, you'll play a pivotal role in advancing our Filtration & Life Sciences S&T portfolio, from project initiation to successful commercial launch. Your responsibilities will include shaping and driving S&T product development across core, adjacent, and breakthrough areas, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring safety and innovation

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure team safety and maintain a safe working environment, adhering to safety policies.

  • Lead performance reviews and support career progression.

  • Partner with marketing and sales teams to identify, assess, and prioritize new product development opportunities.

  • Contribute to segment innovation strategy in alignment with company focus.

  • Lead the development of technical approaches for projects, emphasizing robust scientific work, critical thinking, and data analysis.

  • Collaborate closely with commercial, operations, and engineering teams for successful product scaling and launch.

  • Assess development needs and skillset gaps in the team, developing training programs and strategic hiring plans.

  • Manage capital resources effectively and champion equipment and software needs.

  • Foster collaboration with other S&T teams, identify opportunities, and drive innovation with customers.

  • Establish open innovation programs with external partners.

  • Exhibit strong leadership, modeling company values, and emphasizing safety, collaboration, and innovation.

  • Effectively communicate S&T/NPD updates in internal and external meetings.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Material Science, Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering or related field; PhD preferred.

  • Minimum of 10 years in industrial R&D function or equivalent.

  • Preferred: Experience in filtration product development, formulations development in life sciences, or a background in mineralogy.

  • Preferred: Experience in building high-performing technical teams.

Skill Requirements:

  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strategic thinker with solid project management capabilities.

  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with commercial, operations, and customer teams.

  • Track record of delivering technically robust projects on time and within budget.
